Elsevier mi pise reklamu da li znam ko je najcitiraniji matematicki clanak u zadnje tri godine (i neka me to ponuka da se moja institucija pretplati na slicne statistike). Nadao sam se citirat ce neki clanak od jedne od zvijezda koje sad velikim stopama krocaju matematikom, recimo Terrence Tao, Grisha Perelman ili neko slicnog utjecaja. Ne, to je nas poznanik Prof. J-H. He koji se divi El Naschieju, pise o vezi DNK i broja pi i slicne nebuloze, i urednik i kourednik je nekoliko zurnala o kojima sam pisao u krajnje negativnom kontekstu. No nista dolje u nastavku pogledajte sto tocno pise Elsevier u reklami i ta prekrasna lista prvih 80 od 249 citacija za nedavni clanak od J-H. Hea. Zapravo uzeo sam iz skopusa samo imena autora. Zvuci kao klub arapsko-kineskog prijateljstva, a ne kao profil znanstvenog vrha kojeg mi toboze Elsevier zeli predstaviti. Podaci su dolje, pogledajte i racunajte statisticku vjerovatnost da vrhunski clanak u internacionalnom casopisu, bude citiran samo od kluba prijateljstva.

Po ovakvim listama citacija stvara se impakt casopisa kao sto su Chaos, solitons and fractals u kojem se pojavila dobar frakcija citacija s liste i slicnih kaubojskih casopisa. Napominjem da je taj casopis na A* listi kod Australaca, kako nam je poslao kolega Petravic, da je Current Contents i da je IF oko 3.
