Following requests by many scholars, the Organizing Committee decided that 1^st February is the new deadline for the submission of abstracts for PECSRL 2008. The form and instructions for abstract submission are available at http://tercud.ulusofona.pt/PECSRL/AbstractSubmission.htm. For your information, abstracts from more than 40 European and other countries worldwide have already been submitted.

The post-conference trip will take place from 6 to 7 September. It will consist of a visit to the city of Porto and a boat excursion along the Douro River throughout the Port wine region, an UNESCO Cultural Heritage Landscape. A guided programme will be organized and implemented by experts from the Department of Geography, University of Porto. More information, including detailed programme and prices, will be available in March at http://tercud.ulusofona.pt/PECSRL/Postconferencetrip.htm.
