Oglašena mjesta za dva voditelja i 4 postdoca na sveučilištu u Gottingenu (molekularna fiziologija mozga)Vacancy: Research Group Leader Positions for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
Abstract:
Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
DFG Research Center for
Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CMPB)
The section of Advanced Microscopy of the DFG Research Center for Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CMBP; www.cmpb.org) plans to establish three new research groups in Microscopy at the Nanometer Range and is offering three Research Group Leader Positions for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.
For the Research Group Leader Position we seek for candidates with qualification in one or more of the following areas: in-cell NMR, sensitivity enhancement by polarization methods from highly polarized magnetic moments, fast and sensitive NMR techniques. The research group leaders should be scientists with postdoctoral training in an area of molecular microscopy complementing the research areas of the CMPB, which are primarily focused on molecular processes in the CNS. The research groups will be installed in new laboratories of the European Neuroscience Institute (ENI- G). Funding for 5 years will be provided including personnel (PostDoc, PhD and technician), instruments and consumables. The center offers an excellent infrastructure and a unique research environment in neurosciences and biophysics.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a description of past accomplishments and future goals, and should arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to the address given below. Handicapped candidates are given priority, if equally qualified. The University of Göttingen is determined to increase the percentage of female scientists. Therefore, we strongly encourage qualified female scientists to apply.
Applications should be sent until 15th February 2007 either by email or regular mail to

The section of Advanced Microscopy of the DFG Research Center for Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CMBP; www.cmpb.uni-goettingen.de) plans to establish three new research groups in Microscopy at the Nanometer Range. For the first group Nanoresolution Fluorescence Microscopy in Biology we offer a Research Group Leader Position We seek for candidates with significant accomplishments in (neuro)biology or biophysics, and with experience in applying modern fluorescence microscopy techniques to the life sciences. The candidate is expected to identify a highly competitive research program in which timely and important problems in (neuro)biology are tackled with the emerging nanoresolving fluorescence microscopy techniques, such as STED. Access to a STED microscope and support is provided.

The Advanced Microscopy section Microscopy at the Nanometer Range of the DFG Research Center for Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CMPB; www.cmpb.unigoettingen.de ) is offering a Postdoc Position
in the field of high resolution microscopy based on advanced x-ray methods.Classical x-ray microscopy using Fresnel zone plates as well as novel lens-less x-ray imaging techniques have made significant progress in recent years offering new tools and opportunities for biophysics and neuroscience. The hosting group has ample experience in x-ray biophysics and access to both national and international facilities of synchrotron radiation. The center offers an excellent infrastructure and a unique research environment in neurosciences and biophysics. The ideal candidate has already a strong background in neurobiophysics and/or x-ray imaging and is exceptionally motivated to acquire or complement her/his competence in these fields.
